concluded his five-year te-
nure as Michigan sales
manager of El Al Israel Air-
lines and is returning to Is-
rael to assume his new as-
signment with the Israel
airlines as manager of the
marketing development
unit.

Rosen were honored re-
cently by their children and
grandchildren at a party at
the Laurel Woods Apts. club
house on the occasion of
their .50th wedding an-
niversary.

couple celebrate were their
grandchildren, Robert,

Spektor will be replaced
by Lynn Koppinger, who
served as senior sales repre-
sentative for the past 14
years in Detroit.
During the five years
that Spektor was
stationed in Michigan he
organized hundreds of
tours for individuals,
synagogue and church
groups as well as many
special interest groups.
Spektor said that the fu-
ture for tourism from the
US. to Israel lies within the
non-Jewish market. "We
must make certain that the
non-Jewish travelers, espe-
cially their potential tour
leaders realize that the
most convenient, quickest
and safest way to get to Is-

Local Woman on ADL Staff

HOUSTON — Former
Detroiter Leslye Winkel-
man has been appointed
assistant director of the
Anti-Defamation League's
Houston office.
Ms. Winkelman earned a
Master of Social Work de-
gree in community organ-
ization from Yeshiva Uni-
versity in New York. Her
thesis, The Underreport-
ing of Anti-Semitic Inci-
dents: An Analysis of the
Phenomenon and Its Impli-
cations for Jewish- Com-
munal Service," has been
used as a reference work by
the New York Police De-
partment and several ADL
regional offices.
She has also served as
Staff Consultant to the New
York Regional Office of the
ADL. In that capacity, she
developed a network to
monitor anti-Semitic inci-
dents, handled discrimina-
tion cases, and staffed corn-
mittees.
Among- her respon-
sibilities in Houston will
be public speaking, dis-
crimination cases, infor-
mation and referral,
fact-finding and Middle
East research.

Spektor will be based at
El Al's headquarters at
Ben-Gurion Airport. The
marketing development
unit will investigate new
traffic potential for El Al
and further develop exist-

ing segments by using new
sales techniques. Spektor
will devote much of his time
developing closer relation-
ships between El ,Al and
travel agents.
He said he wants to
encourage educational
tours to Israel for travel
agents, using audio-visual
presentations to better
aquaint them with. Israel
and its flag carrier El Al.
Spektor stressed the im-
provements that have takei
place at El Al in the last
year. "Today the punctual-
ity of El Al's operations are
outstanding and second to
none in the world's airline
industry."
