The Jewish Association for Retarded Citizens has arranged the screening in support of its many-faceted program, particularly resi- dential homes. Like Philly, the 52-year- old retarded man whose story is told in "Best Boy," residents of the JARC's Haverim Homes are em- ployed or attend school, par- ticipate in social events and outings and contribute to the operation of the home in which they reside. Observance of the Sab- bath and Jewish holidays, as well as maintenance of kashrut, is an important element at each Haverim Home. More than 100 individu- als are waiting to be placed in JARC homes. To purchase tickets for the 7:45 p.m. Sept. 24 show- ing of"Best Boy," or to make a contribution, call the JARC, 557-7650. People Make News Dr. Gaylord D.
