Here's how
Chiropractic treats

Leg Pains

It is not normal to have leg pains, whatever your
age or activity. And to get relief with pain-killing
medication merely covers up the health
problem while the damage continues.
Structural imbalance is the underlying
cause of many types of painful disorders,
particularly those involving your legs and
joints.

The doctor of chiropractic is a physician
who employs a method that gives particular
attention to the structural and neuro-
logical aspects of the body. I-fe seeks to
enable your body's natural restorative
powers to operate, so as to allow the body
to eliminate health problems, as
0 as associated discomfort.

vealed that a retired woman
from Duesseldorf, Jose-
phine Juergens, who last
January received one of the
state's highest decorations,
the Bundesverdienstkreutz,
turned out to be a dedicated
neo-Nazi who has never
hidden her hostile view
towards Jews. At the time
she received her award no
one in the federal state gov-
ernment seemed to know
about her views. For the last
five years she was involved
in helping the former Mai-
danek camp guards on trial
in Duesseldorf.
In a radio interview,
Juergens declared that
Dusseldorf is governed by
Jews, hence, she explained,
the lack of public sympathy
for the SS officials during
the trial. In a letter to the
judge who presided at the
trial, she said that it is im-
perative for him, as it is for
every German, to resist
Jewish influence in similar
court trials in the future
and in the country's judicial
system.
After some attempts to
play down the matter, of-
ficials of the North Rhine
Westphalia , government
realized that the award to
Juergens had become a
public scandal. In a re-
cent letter to Carstens,
Johannes Rau, the head
of the Duesseldorf gov-
ernment, acknowledged
that his administration
was not aware that
Juergens was a dedi-
cated neo-Nazi. He
recommended that the
decoration she received
be taken back.

NEW 'YORK— Five
membership missions to Is-
rael sponsored by the
American Jewish Commit-
tee will take place between
September .1981 and Oc-
tober 1982.
AJCommittee President
Maynard Wishner noted
that each mission "will
allow participants to meet
with Israelis from every
walk of life — Jews and
Arabs, scholars and busi-
ness leaders, Knesset mem-
bers and other cultural and
political figures, sharing a
wide range of viewpoints on
major social, political, and
economic issues that con-
front the country."
While each mission in-
cludes dialogue with Is-
raelis and a week-long stay
in Jerusalem, itineraries
and themes vary with each
mission.
The first mission, "Cel-
ebrations," is scheduled
for Sept. 20-Oct. 4. The
second mission, "Genera-
tions," scheduled for Dec.
13-27, will be open to AJ-
Committee members, and
to their children and
grandchildren 10-years
of age or older.
The first 1982 tour,
"Genesis," from March
14-28, will explore Israel's
history and future.
The seasonal theme of
"Summer" highlights the

Aug. 1-15, 1982 mission,

art and music events. The

At the same time, an
organization which aids vic-
tims of violence, the White
Ring, has honored four
women who during the
Maidanek trial cared for
Jewish witnesses from Is-
rael and other countries. A
representative of the White
Ring, Gerhard Boeden, said
the four assisted the wit-
nesses who were
traumatized by having to
relive the horrors of the
past.
