Flint Obituaries
Anna Farkas
Anna Farkas, a member
of Flint Jewish organiza-
tions, died Aug. .9 at age 82.
- Born in Hungary, Mrs.
Farkas lived 60 years in
Flint. She was a member of
Cong. Beth Israel and
Hadassah. She resided at
359 Sheffield.
Mrs. -Farkas is survived
by three sisters, Mrs. Re-
gina Klurstein and Pearl
Klein, both of Flint, and
Rose Siegel of Youngstown,
Ohio; nieces and nephews.

Nazi to Testify

Under the threat of a possi-
ble jail sentence and a
heavy fine, accused Nazi
war criminal Boleslays
Maikovskis has agreed to
testify on his entry into the
U.S. and his activities in
Latvia during World-War II.
The agreement came
after a federal district court
judge issued a contempt ci-
tation to Maikovskis, who
pleaded the Fifth Amend-
ment in the case against
him by the Justice Depart-
ment.

Ira Marder was named
chairman of the search
committee to find a new
executive director for the
Flint Jewish Federation to
replace Arnold Feder, who
will leave in October for a
post in Sacramento, Calif.
