American air traffic con- trollers now on strike have appealed to their colleagues throughout the world not to handle any aircraft bound for the U.S. But the Israelis decided Sunday to await the out- come of a meeting of in- ternational air traffic controllers called to dis- cuss a united stand on the American controllers' appeal. El Al pilots are, however, being warned to pay special attention to any security problems which might arise in view of the staffing of American control towers by military personnel instead of the usual civilian control- lers.
