adding a full-day kinder-
garten to its Child De-
velopment Center pro-
gram.
Beginning Sept. 8, the
program lasts from 9 a.m. to
3:30 p.m. Extended hours
from 7 to 9 a.m. and 3-6 p.m.
also are available at no
extra charge.
The activities in reading,
language arts, math, social
studies and science learning
centers are geared to the
skills, creativity and inter-
ests of the children.
The afternoon activities
include cooking, gym,
swimming, science experi-
ments and special projects
developed by the children
and their teacher. There is a
limit of 12 children per
class, taught by Wendi
Bundgaard.
A lunch program is
provided for the full-day

Sardine Salad

1 head iceberg lettuce
3 tomatoes, cut into eighths
1 small cucumber, diced
1 small green pepper cut in
thin strips
1 small red pepper cut in small
strips
3 scallions top and bottom,
diced
2 celery stalks, thinly sliced
2 tins boneless skinless sar-
dines, drained
2 hard boiled eggs, cut in
wedges
1/2 cup French dressing
Break lettuce in bite-sized
pieces, place in a large salad
bowl. Mix remaining vegeta-
bles together and put on top of
the lettuce. Place sardines and
egg wedges on top. Just be-
fore serving, pour dressing
over the top and mix gently.
Serves 6.
