Germans Re-Run
`Holocaust' Epic
BONN (JTA) — The state
operated radio and televi-
sion station, West
Deutscher Rundfunk, has
announced that the
American-made TV film
"Holocaust" will be tele-
vised again in November
1982 followed by a live dis-
cussion after the fourth and
last parts of the series.
The screening is expected
to attact millions of viewers.
The nationwide screening of
"Holocaust" at the end of
1979 shattered the Ger-
man's silence and indif-
ference about the Nazi per-
secution of Jews. But public
opinion polls showed that
the effect of the series com-
pletely wore off a few
months later.
