Volume Details Rapid Expansion of Bank Leumi TEL AVIV — The history of Bank-Leumi le-Israel is covered in a new volume written by four professors from Hebrew University. "Banker to an Emerging Nation" by Profs. Nadav Halevi, Nahum Gross, Ep- hraim Kleiman and Mar- shall Sarnat was published in Israel recently by the Shikmona Publishing Co. The bank now has 57 branches in 19 countries outside of Israel. Total as- sets of its largest overseas subsidiary, Bank Leumi Trust Co. of New York reached $2 billion in 1980. Other American branches are located in Chicago, Philadelphia, Beverly Hills, Calif., and Miami Beach.
