wedding anniversary cele-
bration of Mr. and Mrs. Irv-
ing (Lina) Small, to be cele-
brated Tuesday at a dinner
party at Tam-O-Shanter
Country Club.
Relatives from Califor-
nia, Florida, New York, Il-
linois and Ohio and parts of
Michigan will join them in
celebrating the occasion.
Small has been active for
many years in political and
communal affairs. During
the late Gov. Fitzgerald's
term of office, he served as
assistant state attorney
general and legal counsel
for the Michigan Corpora-
tion Securities Commission.
Under Mayors Cobo
and Miriani, he served as
welfare commissioner.
He represented Wayne
County as county super-
visor. He has served as
vice president of the
Hannah Schloss Old
Timers and is a member
of its board. He also is
active in tasks for the Old
Newsboys' Goodfellows
organization and pre-
sently serves as a direc-
tor.
He is a 32nd degree Ma-
son, a member of the Cres-
cent Shrine Club and Bnai
Brith Pisgah Lodge. Re-
cently he was honored by
the Michigan Bar Associa-
tion "for 50 years in the
practice of law."
