What was he doing here from Israel, Flo thought .. . and how did the gal under- stand him? . . . The story began to unfold later when Larry LoPatin got home and saw the three Israeli couples . . . all born deaf .. . who were traveling in America. They had already been to New York, Miami, New Or- leans, Las Vegas, San Fran- cisco, Chicago, Niagara Falls, Buffalo . . . and have left to conclude their trip with a Boston visit and then New York again en route back to -Israel. Florence's nephew, Hav Near and his wife had met each other in a Haifa school . . . His mother, Hanna, is Florence's sister-in-law, married to her brother Hillel . . . Hav Near thought his mother had written that they were coming . . . Seems that they rented a car at Hertz, but the lassie couldn't understand them (the three Israeli girls speak no English and the gents do some with much difficulty) . . . She remembered about the girl at National having a daughter who was deaf . . . and asked her to help out. The three Israeli couples on an eight-week tour of America are a wonderful example of what handi- capped people with a pur- pose can do . . . There is no greater asset than the will to _achieve.
