When Susan Lefton went
on a Zionist Organization of
America trip to Israel at age
14, she knew then that she
would someday make Israel
her home — and now she
has.
Miss Lefton, who became
the bride of Simcha Deutch
in a recent ceremony at
Cong. Beth Shalom, at
which Rabbi David Nelson
officiated, has made her
home with her new husband
on a moshav at Kiryat
Shmona.
In Kiryat Shmona, Mrs.
Deutch is a nurse specializ-
ing in family practice, par-
ticularly in delivering
babies. Her husband is a
dairy and citrus farmer.
Deutch attended agricul-
tural school for four years
and serves in the Israel
army.
The daughter of Dr.
and Mrs. Harold Lefton
of Huntington Woods,
Mrs. Deutch was the only
ZOA-Detroit District
scholarship winner to
remain in Israel after
having attended the Mol-
lie Goodman High School
for 10-12th grade re-
quirements.
She studied nursing at
Barzalai Hospital Nursing
School and attended nurs-
ing school in Tel Aviv. In
October, she will begin two
years of service in the Is-
raeli army.

MRS. DEUTCH

Deutch is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Ariah Deutch of
Moshav Beit Hillel in Is-
rael.
Attending Mrs. Deutch at
the ceremony were Karen
Moss, maid of honor; and
Judy Yudkin, Julie Finn
and Sara Lefton, brides-
maids.
Zev
Deutch
of
Philadelphia was his
brother's best man.
Ushers were Ray and
Marc Lefton.
Following a honeymoon
trip, the couple returned to
Israel.

Manhood is the isthmus
between the two extremes
— the ripe and fertile sea-
son of action when, only, we
can hope to find the head to
contrive, united with the
hand to execute.
