Pappas Fund Is Established
at the Bar-Han University

Norman A. Pappas has
established an endowment
fund at Bar-Ilan Univer-
sity, it was announced by
Irving Laker and Myron L.
Milgrom, general co-
chairmen of the university's
local campaign.
Pappas joined the Bar-
Ilan campaign last year,
when he organized an ongo-
ing effort to strengthen the
university's endowment.
In addition to his work
with Bar-Ilan, Pappas is
active with the Allied
Jewish Campaign, the
Jewish Community Center,
Anti-Defamation League of
Bnai Brith and Israel

Ambulance Is
Given to Israel

CHICAGO — George
Otis, president of the Holy-
land Broadcasting network
and former general man-
ager of the Lear Jet Corp.,
recently presented a "Fly-
ing Ambulance" to Moshe
Gilboa, consul general of Is-
rael to the Midwest, as a gift
to Israel in a ceremony at
Chicago's Meigs Field.
The Turbo Cessna Cen-
turion six-passenger plane
will leave the U.S. equipped
with medical supplies, a
portable, stretcher, oxygen
and 300 pairs of prescrip-
tion eyeglasses. The plane
will be stationed in north-
ern Israel.
