to the 1981 Allied Jewish
Campaign - Israel Emer-

Hoffman.
The money was raised in
a variety of ways, ranging
from selling birthday trib-
utes to auctioning off loaves
of halla or pieces of coffee
cake.
Other officers of the group

treasurer; Frada Raab,
membership, Emma Pol-
lack, recording secretary;
Rose Levine, corresponding
secretary; Anna Lublin,
Campaign chairman; and
Esther Greenberg, Minnie

Dr. and Mrs. Jay Stern,
former Detroiters of Silver
Spring, Md., announce the
engagement of their daugh-
ter, Aviva Nehama, to
Manoach Groskin, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Groskin
of Syracuse, N.Y.
Miss Stern was graduated
from the University of
Michigan with a master's
degree in social work. Her
fiance attends the Howard
University Dental School in
Washington, D.C.
A December wedding is
planned.
