Bnai David The 14th annual dinner of the Detroit Friends of Jerusalem's Shaare Zedek Hospital will be held 6 p.m. Wednesday at Cong. Bnai David. Honorees for the event are Meyer and Mary Must. Must is a former president of Bnai David and long active in support of the Shaare Zedek Medical Cen- ter. Proceeds from the dinner are used to maintain the new Shaare Zedek Medical Center, with special con- cern for the Detroit- sponsored dialysis unit and physical rehabilitation workshop. The Detroit Friends have undertaken a new project to aid students at the hospital's school of nursing. The school was the last unit transferred from the old hospital on Yaffa Road to the new medical center across Mt. Herzl. The new nursing school facilities will permit expan- sion of enrollment from 90 students to 180. Under the leadership of Mrs. Pearl Nosan, the De- troit Friends have launched a campaign to find sponsors for deserving nursing stu- dents who are unable to pay tuition. The group's goal is to sponsor the 1981-1982 entering class. Mr. and Mrs. Ludwig Jes- selson of New York attended a recent planning meeting for the dinner. Jes- selson is chairman of the board of the American Committee for Shaare Zedek Hospital and Mrs. Jesselson is national president of the Shaare Zedek Women's League.
