Evelyn Noveck will be in- stalled as president by Elsie Harold, installing. officer. Mrs. Noveck was born into a Labor Zionist home, her parents being members of Poale Zion. A member of Young Poale Zion, in college she was a member of Avuka, the Zionist college group, and became Midwest direc- tor of this group for a year after graduation. Mrs. Noveck began her professional career teach- ing in the Detroit Public Schools in 1941. She has served as chairman of the democratic human rela- tions council of the public schools, Region 6, and has been an administrative unit head at Taft School since 1969. She has alsO taught Sunday school at Cong. Shaarey Zedek and Adat Shalom Synagogue. Mrs. Noveck was a founding member of Pioneer Women Aviva Chapter, the forerunner EVELYN N'OVECK of today's Dimona Chap- ter. She has been pro- gram and education chairman for Hanita Chapter for many years, and has served as vice president of program and education for Pioneer Women Council as well as executive vice president. She has also served as donor and spiritual adoption chairman. In other affiliations, Mrs. Noveck has been vice president of the Labor Zionist Council, president of the Labor Zionist Alliance Council and president of The Home for Aged Auxiliary Highlights the Musical Theater Music for the opera, operetta and musical com- edy will be spotlighted at the Jewish Home for Aged Auxiliary's 56th annual in- stallation meeting noon June 15 at Teriiple Beth El, when the auxiliary presents the Michigan Opera Thea- ter production, "Highlights of Musical Theater." The cast includes Mary Callaghan Lynch, Sue Wiley, Jerry Minster and Mark Vondrak, with piano accompaniment by Mar- garet Paulian. Executive Vice President of the Jewish Home for Aged Charles Wolfe and Rabbi Dannel Schwartz of Temple Beth El will bring greetings.
