Shavuot Festival Begins at Sundown Sunday

Shavuot, the spring festi-
val commemorating the giv-
ing of the 10 Command-
ments to Moses on Mt.
Sinai, will begin at sun-
down Sunday.
Shavuot will be observed
at services at the following
congregations:

ADAT
SHALOM
SYNAGOGUE: A Tikun

Leil Shavuot will begin 10
p.m. Sunday in the home of
Rabbi Efry Spectre. Study
group leaders are: Rabbi
Spectre, Cantor Larry Vie-
der, Rabbi and Mrs. Robert
Abramson, Jonathan Jaffa
and Beth Lupovitch.
Shaharit services will be
held at sunrise, followed by
breakfast. The community
is invited.

The Shavuot services will
be held as follows: 9 a.m.
and 6 p.m. Monday and 9
a.m. and 8 p.m. Tuesday.

RAHAM HILLEL
MOSES: Shavuot services

will be held 8:45 p.m. Sun-
day, 9 a.m. and 8:45 p.m.
Monday and 9 a.m. Tues-
day. Rabbis Israel I. Hal-

Shabtai Ackerman will
chant the liturgy, assisted
by the synagogue choir, led
by Associate Cantor Israel
