BRUSSELS (JTA) — The
Israeli Embassy flatly de-
nied an allegation by the
local office of the Palestine
Liberation Organization
that the Israeli secret serv-
ice was involved in the
murder of the PLO's repre-
sentative in Brussels, Naim
Khader, Monday morning.
Khader, 41, was shot five
times as he was walking
from his home to his office.
The embassy, retorting to
the PLO charge, suggested
that Khader was the target
of a rival Palestinian organ-
ization. "We know that the
different Palestinian
movements kill each other,"
an embassy statement said.
It noted that two Jorda-
nians of Palestinian origin
were recently tried and con-
victed by a Paris court for
the murder of a PLO official,
Ezzedine Kallak in August

NEW YORK (JTA) —
Argentine authorities have
broken up a local terrorist
network that was trained by
the Palestine Liberation
Organization to assassinate
high Argentine government
officials, it was revealed
here.
According to the Latin
Americans Affairs Depart-
ment of the Anti-
Defamation League of Bnai
Brith, two high Argentine
military officials an-
nounced that the ring had
been dissolved before it
could carry out its death
mission.
Gen. Cristino Nicolaide,
commander-in-chief of-the
Army's Third Division, and
Col. Miguel Cabrera, chief
of the division's intelligence
unit, said the terrorists
were trained in Lebanon by
the PLO.
The terrorists, these of-
ficials said, made one at-
tempt last fall to carry out
their assassination plans
designed to generate a
climate of terror and in-
security in Argentina.
On that occasion, accord-
ing to Rabbi Morton Ro-
senthal, director of ADL's
Latin American Affairs De-
partment, the would-be as-
sassins bombed the home of
the Deputy Finance Minis-
ter, Dr. Guillermo Walter
Klein. He and members of
his family excaped death
despite the fact that they
were trapped in the rubble.

Grenade Kills
Tractor Owner

TEL AVIV (JTA) — A
young tractor owner and
operator was killed and the
truck driver with whom he
was traveling to arrange
repairs to his tractor was
wounded when a grenade
was thrown at them as they
were traveling near Gaza
last week.
The driver said he noticed
a man standing beside the
road with his hand behind
his back. As they came level
with him the man threw
something which the driver
thought Aras a stone into the
cab.

1978.
Khader, who has
headed the PLO office
here since it was estab-
lished in 1976, was the
sixth PLO representa-
tive killed in the past 10
months. Three were slain
in Paris, one in Nicosia,
Cyprus, and one in
Kuwait.
Belgian sources said
Khader was known as a
"moderate" and had been
one of the first to rondemn
last year's terrorist attack
on a group of Jewish chil-
dren boarding a bus for a
summer camp in Antwerp.
He had also denounced the
bombing of the Rue Coper-
nic synagogue in Paris last
October.
Meanwhile, the French
Foreign Ministry issued a
communique condemning
Khader's murder and ex-
pressed Foreign Minister
Claude Cheysson's "deep

personal grief." Cheysson, a
European Economic Com-
munity (EEC) commis-
sioner before becoming
foreign minister, had been
on close personal terms with
Khader,
