Mr. Weingarden, who died May 5 just shy of his 100th birthday, will be memorialized at a special service 5p.m. Monday in the small chapel at Cong. Shaarey Zedek. Rabbi Irwin Groner will officiate. According to his daugh- ter, Charlotte Brandimore of Detroit, Mr. Weingarden was one of the world's best known newsboys. She said there was a time when Mr. Weingarden's newsstand was the largest in the world.
