The conference opened
May 14 with a White House
briefing by representatives
of the Reagan Administra-
tion, followed by a reception
in the executive mansion
with members of Congress.

Irving Davis was selected
as the Greater Detroit
Bowling Association's "Man
of the Year."
Davis was president of
the association for two
years, president of the
Jewish War Veterans bowl-
ing league and sponsored
the Bnai Brith squad for
more than 15 years in the
GDBA tournament.
He also was president of
the Bnai Brith bowling
league in 1959-1960, an
officer of the Metropolitan
Detroit Bnai Brith Bowling
Association and an officer of
the International Bnai
Brith Bowling Association.
The award will be pre-
sented June 25 at the an-
nual champions banquet of
the GDBA.

Oil Price Drop

TEL AVIV (JTA) —
Egypt has agreed to lower
the price of oil it supplies
Israel for the second time
this month. Energy Minis-
ter Yitzhak Modal said here
the Egyptians had told Is-
rael they were lowering
their oil price from $37.5 a
barrel to $36.
