IT'S LIKE SITTING in
a restaurant-nitery and lis-
tening to a concert . . . This
is what so many are saying
about the Larry Nozero
Quartet at Excalibur,
Franklin and Northwestern
near 12 Mile.
The transformation from
just music to great jazz
reaches wide appeal . . .
And the Larry Nozero
Quartet has even longer
audience-gathering tenta-
cles . . . Their versatility is
unlimited . . . not only
making them one of the
finest jazz groups around
. . . but an aggregation
that can do stylings on all
types of music for good lis-
tening to which folks can re-
late . . . like "Body and
Soul" with Larry on sax lead
. . . Duke Ellington's great
theme, "Take The 'A'
Train," etc.
It's nice to see musicians
feeling each note . . . and
even nicer listening to
them.
The Larry Nozero re-
cording artists quartet
. . . made up of Larry on
flute and a strong sax . . .
John Katalenic tickling
the keyboard in excellent
fashion , . . . Ned Mann a
sure-fingered bass
guitarist . . . and
Jonathon Peretz keeping
up a solid beat on the
drums . . . plus excep-
tionally fine executions
Fine Dining In The Elegant
Vineyard's Tradition
Fresh Seafood . . . Delicious Char-Broiled Steaks
Wonderful Prime Ribs of Beef
Elegant Veal Oscar or Picatta
Alaskan King Crab Legs . . . Scampi
Sole . . . Whitefish
Chicken-Coq Au Vin . . . Etc.
Dinners include our house salad and
freshly baked parmesan bread

of the brushes.
are all also individual
stylists in their own right.
The Larry Nozero jazz
quartet can easily be
ranked among the best De-
troit has to offer . . . which
is a lot since this locale is
emerging as one of the coun-.
try's top jazz centers.
ERRATA . . . The name
is Frank Winton . . . not
Jack . . . as typo-errored
recently . . . regarding
move by Standard Club to
the northwest . . . Look for
definite Southfield site
news to come very soon . . .
and perhaps a surprise
management arrangement.

ANSWERS . . . by Joan

I am going to Miami
soon. Can you name a few
natural food restaurants
for me that are really
good?
Buddy M's Welcome to
My Kitchen is excellent. It
is in Hollywood, Fla. and
not much to look at but the
food is so good that you
won't know the difference.
Another one is the Unicorn
located in North Miami.
This is also really good.
Then there is Tony St.
Thomas right in Miami Be-
ach. The food is good and the
atmosphere quite elegant. If
you feel like something a
little fancier, this is the
place for you.
For the best fresh fruit
salad that I know of any-
where go to Athens Food
Bar, also located in Miami
Beach. It is absolutely
scrumptious — you'll love
it. Bon appetite!
Celestial Seasonings
has a new reducing tea .
out. What does it do?
This company has intro-
duced a natural herb tea
formulated especially for
dieters. It is low in calories,
contains no caffeine or arti-
ficial sweeteners and does
not stimulate the appetite.
It is called Diet Partner
and is delicious hot or cold.
It is very helpful when you
are dieting and want to eat
or drink something without
having to worry about it
putting on any weight.
Is brewers' yeast good
for you?
It is one of the best
natural sources of the entire
B Complex; a superb source
of concentrated protein in-
cluding all of the essential
amino acids. It is the best
source of chromium which is
essential for the production
of functionally-effective in-
sulin, without which the
body cannot properly
handle glucose, its major
fuel. It is a natural wonder
food and one I recommend
Very highly.
