Redford Township offi-
cials told the Observer and
Eccentric newspapers last
week that the SS Action
Group of Westland, the
neo-Nazi organization that
demonstrated at Israel- In-
dependence Day festivities
in Southfield on May 10,
wants to hold a June rally in
Redford.
The Nazis reportedly
have also told the township
police department that it
was willing to assist the
police in its normal patrol
duties.
The chief of police told the
newspaper that he would
listen to whatever the Nazis
had to say "but I won't
authorize an inexperienced
group of civilians to patrol
anything."
Redford officials, accord-
ing to the paper, have been
less-than-cooperative in re-
sponding to the Nazis' re-
quest for information about
holding a rally.
