Guest speaker Mrs. Scott is a regional vice chairman of the United Jewish Appeal Women's Division. She also is a member of the UJA na- tional campaign policy board. In her own community of metropolitan New Jersey, Mrs. Scott serves on the boards of the Jewish Com- munity Federation and the Jewish Community Found- ation. She acts as individual solicitations adviser to the women's division there. She is an importer and distributor of Israeli- manufactured items and, since its beginning in 1975, has chaired a division for the Committee for Economic Growth of Israel. Women Conduct Canister Drive Greater Detroit Council, Pioneer Women, will - con- duct its annual canister drive Sunday through Tuesday. Collected monies are used to help maintain day nurseries and kinder- gartens as well as support- ing projects of Youth Aliya. Solicitors may collect enough in their canisters to make them eligible to attend the Spiritual Adop- tion luncheon. Areas to be covered are Oak Park, Southfield, Hun- tington Woods, Ferndale, Livonia, Farmington and West Bloomfield. Chairmen for this year's drive are Mina Herman and Mary Shuster.
