THE DETROIT JEWISH NEWS Nazi Pamphlets, Anti-Semitic Letters Flooding Community L A flood of anti-Semitic propaganda has been flood- ing this area in recent weeks. The neo-Nazi letters and leaflets, some in longhand, others mimeographed, many printed, are being cir- culated in the mails. They are distributed by hand at many public gatherings. Much of the material has a link with PLO supporters and the attacks are leveled -,,both at Israel and the Jewish people. Protests have been regis- tered against their distribu- tion in the mails. The obscenity of many of the leaflets has been indicated to officials to S u pport as b-10 prove that they violate the postal laws. Prominent non-Jews, civic leaders, county offi- cials, state and national legislators are among the recipients of the neo-Nazi anti-Semitic and pro-PLO hate sheets. Those addressed to Jews are filled with obscenities and threats, with warnings of what will happen "when we get into power," with "Heil Hitler" and "Hitler didn't complete his job" dec- larations. The Nazi-PLO prop- aganda escalated during the weeks of Jewish plan- ning for the Israel 33rd an- niversary celebration. ree 11 s-p Our fall sale orn, C`a& tly-w your g en JW office Bring NC clothing M to ay 11- • 15 00 10:00 -4 : receive and Cheese 8z, win Cot and a tax deduction deduction Friday, May 8, 1981 Jewry on the Air Student Wins Speaking Honor This Week's Radio and Television Programs THE JEWISH SOUND: 6:15 a.m. Sunday, WMJC- FM (95) and 8 a.m. Sunday, WNIC-AM (1310).
