Veterans' Group Has Dinner, Seeks Fight Against Bias
The Committee of World
War II Invalids and Vete-
rans of Greater Detroit, a
new organization of Rus-
sian Jewish immigrants,
will have a Victory Day and
Mother's Day party 7 p.m.
Saturday at the Jimmy
Prentis Morris Branch of
the Jewish Community
Center.
The commander of the
new organization, Iosif
Ayzin, will speak, along
with Hy Shenkman. A
dinner will be served and
there is a charge.
Ayzin issued a statement
in advance of the affair,
commenting on the an-
niversary of the Holocaust
and the new wave of anti-
Semitism and neo-Nazism
that is occurring in
America.
Ayzin said that the
years have dimmed the

racism.
