LONDON — An Easter
prayer, used by Christians
in Great Britain since -1662,
has been revised by the
Anglican Church this year
to delete derogatory refer-
ences to Jews.
The prayer described
Jews as sinners who should
be converted. One section of
the prayer, which was re-
vised unsatisfactorily in
1928 and 1980, asked for
mercy for Jews, Turks, in-
fidels and heretics.
The London Jewish
Chronicle reported that the
offending passages were -
changed to read:
"Oh God, we thank thee
that in faith we are Chil-
dren ,of Abraham and
share in the promise of
universal blessing.
"Open our eyes and
hearts to his other children,

Advertising executives
Ron Stone and Jim August
have changed the name of
their agency from Barkley
and Evergreen of Detroit, to
Stone, August and Co. and
have moved to a new loca-
tion in Birmingham.
The firm is now located at
30800 Telegraph. Stone is
chairman and chief operat- .
ing officer, and August is
president and chief execu-
tive officer. The agency can
be reached at 646-9200.

I am prejudiced in favor of
him who, without impu-
dence, can ask boldly. He
has faith in humanity, and
faith in himself. No one who
is not accustomed to give
grandly can ask nobly and
with boldness.
