Lubavitcher Rebbe Launches Children's Torah Project A Sefer Torah scroll, commissioned by young Jewish children all over the world, is being written in the Old City of Jerusalem in a project launched by the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menahem M. Schneerson. The occasion on whi'ch the project was launched was the Rebbe's 79th birthday. The Rebbe asked the chil- dren under Bar or Bat Mitzva-age all over the world to participate in the Torah-writing by sending in no more and no less than one U.S. dollar to the Israeli office of the project. He said that the dollar should be the children's own money. Wherever possible the boys and girls should fill out their own applica- tions. It should 'be mailed in as is, with the parent adding clarification if the child's writing is illegible. Children's applications should include their own and their mother's Hebrew names, their age, their ad- dress and one- dollar. Mail to: Committee for Writing the "Tzivos Hashem" Sefer Torah, c/o Council of Lubavitch Rabbanirn, Kfar Chabad, Israel. call details, For Lubavitch, 548-2666. Each child will receive a certifi- cate directly from Israel, at- testing to his/her purchase and informing him in which Sidra his letter is found. The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and toil addeth nothing thereto. •
