Tel Aviv Riot

TEL AVIV (JTA) — The
Hatikva and Ezra slum
quarters of Tel Aviv were
quiet after rioting there fol-
lowing municipal attempts
to tear down four structures
which had been built with-
out a license.
The rioters, mainly
teenagers, set fire to a bus
and burned garbage collec-
tion centers and broke win-
dows of shops. Police ar-
rested a number of rioters.
