Israeli author Amos
Aricha will be autograph-
ing his new novel about
global espionage, "Hour of
the Clown," on May 2 at The
Book People store in the Or-
chard Mall.
Aricha, a Sabra, is a
former police superinten-
dent in Israel and is married
to former Detroiter Gail
Burkow. The couple live in
Herzliya and have two chil-
dren.
"Hour of the Clown" is
Aricha's second book to
appear in English, pub-
lished by Signet. His
previous novel,
"Phoenix," a spy thriller,
was inspired by his work
with Moshe Dayan on the
newspaper Hayom
Hazeh.
Since leaving the Israeli
police, Aricha has devoted
himself to writing and
painting.
