Reform Mark Wise Sabbath Today at Temple Emanu-El Temple Emanu-El will host the annual Isaac M. Wise Sabbath Eve Service 8:15 p.m. today in the tem- ple. Guest speaker will be Rabbi Sanford Seltzer, di- rector of research and plan- ning of the Union of Ameri- can Hebrew Congregations. He is the director of gerontology programming for the UAHC and of the Joint Commission on Wor- ship of the union and the Central Conference of American Rabbis. He also is the director of the Task Force on Re- form Jewish Outreach, whose responsibility it is to develop programs to more fully integrate in- termarrieds into the synagogue community and reach out to persons considering converting to Judaism. He has contributed arti- cles and reviews to many publications including the Reconstructionist, the Journal of Reform Judaism and Compass magazine. He is the author of many books. Rabbi Seltzer is a member of the committee on mid- career review of the CCAR, the Boston Society of Gerontological Psychiatry and a past member of the board of trustees of the Jewish Family and Chil- dren's Service. He is a lec- turer in Judaism at St. John's Seminary, a nr medical candidate at 1., Boston Psychoanalytic In- stitute and has been a fellow at McLean Hospital, a teaching affilitate of the Harvard Medical School and has trained• at the Bos- ton Psychoanalytic Insti- tute.
