Action on Clubs
Disappoints ADL

NEW YORK --- The
Anti-Defamation League of
Bnai Brith said it is "disap-
pointed" with last month's
rescinding of the regulation
barring payment by federal
contractors of employee
membership fees in private
clubs that exclude members
on the basis of religion, race,
sex or national origin.
According to Seymour D.
Reich, chairman of ADL's
national Civil Rights Com-
mittee, the agency had ear-
lier asked Labor Secretary
Raymond Donovan to per-
mit this regulation to go
into effect.
