HOW TO BUY A DIAMOND
Southfield — Seymour Michigan is an asset to you,
Kaplan & Company, the
diamond people for over
fifty years, have the most
unique way of selling
diamonds. One of the most
important factors to con-
sider is that they have a
staff of graduate accredited
experts from the Gemologi-
cal Institute of America,
who do not work on a corn-
mission basis. Because of
this, when you come in, they
are able to give you their
undivided attention, and
are willing to spend as much
time as is necessary to edu-
cate you about diamonds.
Having one of the largest
selections of diamonds in
the customer.
The diamond people at
Seymour Kaplan & Com-
pany will show you several
loose diamonds at one time
using a proper background
which will show you the
many color variances of a
diamond. They will also ex-
plain differences in cut,
shape, quality, and the type
and location of imperfec-
tions found in diamonds
under magnification. All of
these factors determine the
price of diamonds.
After the selection of your
diamond, the \ staff at
Seymour Kaplan and Corn-
pany will place the diamond
of your choice into any one
of hundreds of settings to
give you some perspective
as to what your diamond
will look like when it is fi-
nally set.
The appraisal of your
diamond is done by
graduates of the Gemologi-
cal Institute of America.
You will leave feeling both
confident and well in-
formed, knowing exactly
what you have bought.
It's nice to know there are
people like Seymour Kap-
lan & Company who care
about your diamond and
adv.
jewelry purchases.

the elections last Nov. 4.
Mrs. Spellman, 63, a
four-term Congresswoman,
was one of two Jewish
women elected to the cur-
rent Congress.
But her seat, in the Wash-
ington suburb of Prince
George's County, Md., was
declared vacant by House
Speaker Thomas O'Neill
(D-Mass.) in February when
it became clear that Mrs.
Spellman would never re-
cover from the brain dam-
age inflicted by her heart
attack last October. Despite
her she was re-
elected by a large margin.
Her husband, who repor-
tedly disliked politics,
nevertheless decided to run
for the vacant seat in order
to keep it in the family. He
finished second.
