Citizens (ARC).
Of the six million men-
tally retarded people in the
United States, 89 percent
are only mildly retarded
and many live fully-
independent lives, accord-
ing to H. Gilbert Johnson,
president of the association.
Mental Retardation Month

the public recognize the
