Myer Littky Remembered
at BB Presidents Brunch

The 15th annual Bnai
Brith Presidents Brunch, 10
a.m., March 22, planned in
cooperation with Jewish
National Fund, at Cong.
Shaarey Zedek, is dedicated
to the memory of Myer
Littky who "lived Bnai
Brith" and who served Bnai
Brith and JNF to his "last
full measure of devotion."
Mr. Littky died Jan. 3. He
was 75. He joined Pisgah
Lodge 40 years ago, on
March 3, 1941. He served on
every committee ever
created in the organization.
He was vice president from
1969 to 1971, and president
of the lodge from 1972 to
1974, after which he became
financial secretary, work-
ing in this capacity until
1980. He had been president
of the bowling league.
He was a trustee to the
Bnai Brith Council since
1974, and for about five con-
secutive years, he was
chairman of the Bnai Brith
Israel Martyrs' Forest
Committee under whose
aegis the Bnai Brith
Presidents' Brunch is con-
ducted annually. He too had
been honored with the
planting of a garden in his
name, in the Martyrs' For: -
est when he was president of
Pisgah Lodge.
For many years, he
edited and printed the
Pisgah newsletter. Mr.
Littky came to Detroit in
1918 from Poland, by way
of South America. He
learned the printing
trade at Cass Tech High

MYER LITTKY

School.
In 1935, when he couldn't
find a job, he began his own
business, the Meyers Print-
ing Co., on Livernois, where
the firm still operates, and
which is run by his son,
Robert. When he retired in
1968, he continued to work
part-time.
He was chairman of the
religious school of Adat
Shalom Synagogue. At the
time of his death, he was a
member of Cong. Beth
Shalom of which his son is
president.
In addition to his son,
Mr. Littky is survived by
his wife, Sarah; two
daughters, Mrs. Ruth
Hertz and Mrs. Phyllis
Fellows; and nine grand-
. children.
For information about the
brunch, call the JNF, 55,7
