Talks March 18 at the UHS

The Midrasha — College
of Jewish Studies will spon-

and Theodore Bargman
Memorial Lectures on

The theme for the lecture
series is "The Resurgence of
Anti-Semitism." Nathan
Belth, author and journalist
will open the series with a
lecture. on "American
Anti-Semitism" on March
18. Belth has published
widely on the subject of
anti-Semtism. His publica-
tions include: "Barriers —
Patterns of Discrimination
Against Jews," "Fighting
for America" and "A Prom-
ise to Keep; A Narrative of
the American Encounter
With Anti-Semitism.
Dr. Howard Sachar, his-
torian, Jewish educator and
author will speak on the
"Revival of European
Anti-Semitism" on March
25. Dr. Sachar is professor of
modern European, Middle
Eastern and Jewish history
at George Washington Uni-
versity. His publications in-
clude: "The Course of Mod-
ern Jewish History" and "A
History of Israel."
The third lecture in the
series will be presented
April 1 by Dr. Marshall
Sklare, professor of con-
temporary • Jewish
studies and sociology at
Brandeis University. His
topic is "Jewish Reac-
tions to Anti-Semitism."
Dr. Sklare's publications
