Israeli Art Exhibition to Open
at Main Jewish Center Complex

The Jewish Community
Center will present an ex-
hibit of Israeli and Jewish
artists Feb. 13-25 in the
Hamburger Exhibition Hall
of the main building.
The show and sale fea-
tures etchings, lithographs,
watercolors and prints by
Theo Tobiasse, David
Sharir, Shalom of Safed,
Naftali Bezem, Shraga
Weill, Ruth Zarfati, Nahum
Gilboa, Yossi Stern, Benja-
min Levy, Moshe Gat,
David Gershtein,
Shtreichman and others.

for six weeks at 8 p.m.
Wednesdays, beginning
March 11.
Ms. Borofsky recently
completed an MFA degree
in acting at the University
of Southern California,
under the direction of John
Houseman and Nina Foch.
She also has a Bachelor of
Musical Arts degree from
the University of Michigan,
where she majored in voice
performance and theater.
She has worked as an ac-
tress with the New Arteff
Players in Los Angeles and
The American Conservat-
ory Theater in San Fran-
cisco. Her musical roles
range from Sara Brown in
"Guys and Dolls" to Suzuki
in "Madame Butterfly" with
the Creative Opera Society
of Los Angeles.

Dance classes are now
forming at the Center and
will begin in March.
Taught by professionally
trained staff, 40 classes
are offered in all styles of
dance: ballet, tap, mod-
ern dance, contemporary
jazz, dance conditioning,
folk dance and more.
Classes are geared
towards beginner or ad-
vanced students and for
dancers of all ages — from
pre-school to adults.

the main building and at
the Jimmy Prentis Morris
Branch, and are open to the
public.
