Schon expressed the hopes of the Synagogue Council' that community cooperation with it and with the Detroit Rabbinical Commission will unify interest and devotion to Jewish causes. On Feb. 23 at 8:30 p.m., Dr. Judith Bardwick, author and psychology pro- fessor at the University of Michigan, will speak on "'Families in Transition: No Lifestyle Is Painless." Dr. Bardwick was edu- cated at Purdue and Cornell Universities and received her doctorate from the Uni- versity of Michigan in 1964. She is a member of the American Psychological Association and the Mid- west Psychological Associa- tion among many other pro- fessional groups. In - addition to her teaching duties, Dr. Bardwick is a therapist in private practice, and an associate dean for stu- dent academic affairs at the university. She is the author of The Psychol- ogy of Women" and "In Transition."
