"Babe" was a graduate of Northern High School and Walsh Institute of Accounting. He was an active member of Eli Levin Post 230 Jewish War Veterans where he was a Past Commander and later became Quarter- master of the State of Michigan. In Atlanta he was Vice President of Jet Supply Company and a member of the Ahavath Achim Synagogue. His parents were the late Joseph and Bertha Kersh. His grandparents were one of the original founders of the Beth Abraham Synagogue. Survivors include his wife Gloria Rubin Kersh, daughter Mrs. Daryl (Susan) Beck of Dallas, Texas, son Barry Kersh of Atlanta, grandchildren Scott and Allison Beck of Dal- las, sister Sid (Roslyn) Pelton of Plantation, Florida, brother Oscar C.
