Herman Richman

Herman Richman, who
was in the wholesale barber
and beauty supply business
for 45 years, died Jan. 12 at
age 72.
Born in New York, Mr.
Richman lived several
years in London, England,
and moved to Flint in 1935.
He was a member of Cong.
Beth Israel. Mr. Richman
wasp World War II veteran.
He founded the Michigan
Beauty Co. and sold it in
1942. He repurchased the
company, then named Ray
Kerns of Flint, in 1954 and
held it until his retirement
in 1974. He resided at 412
Graff Ct.
He is survived by his wife,
Alice; a son, Morris of
Lexington, Ky.; four daugh-
ters, Mrs. Jack (Rita)
Magidsohn of Grand Blanc,
Mrs. Don (Sandra) Dunayer
of Hollywood, Fla., Mrs.
Harvey (Diane) Ring of
Flint and Mrs. Joel (Mari-
lyn) Feiner of Grand Blanc;
a brother, Ralph of Toronto,
Ont.; three sisters, Mrs.
Mary Vigon and Mrs. David
Vigon, both of Toronto, and
Annie Lassman of London,
England; nieces and
nephews.

Mannie S. Colish, founder
of Mannie's People's Furni-
ture, died Jan. 11 at age 56.
A Flint native, Mr. Colish
was an original sponsor of
Mott Community College
Cultural Center. He was a
member of Cong. Beth Is-
rael, El Khurafeh Shrine
Temple and Genesee Lodge
of the Masons. He resided at
2038 Walden Ct.
He leaves his wife, Lorrie;
a son, Jerrie of Ft. Lauder-
dale, Fla.; a daughter, Mrs.
Paul (Julie) Michitsch; a
brother, Harry Leff of
Florida; a sister, Rose
Richelson of Florida; and
four grandchildren.
