The evening will feature Sheryl Leonard, program director of the Chicago Chapter, American Jewish Committee, as keynote speaker. After her talk, the audience will participate in small workshops for discus- sion of the issues raised. Ms. Leonard is known in the Chicago area for her work in communications which include being the hostess of a television inter- view show and a radio show. For the past six years she has been writing a_ weekly column in the Sentinel Magazine called "For Sing- les Only." As program director of AJCommittee's Chicago Chapter, Ms. Leonard completed a survey •on college youth and their attitudes on Judaism, "Not Just a Number." She co-drafted two re- cent reports on Jewish education in Chicago. Her most recent study was "Religious Affilia- tion and the Jewish Single." Ms. Leonard has received numerous awards in jour- nalism from the Illinois Women's Press Association and in public relations from - the Welfare Public Rela- tions Forum of Chicago. She visited Israel as a guest of that government, the only Jewish com- municator from Chicago to be invited to the American Zionist Federation to par- ticipate in its Jewish jour- nalists program in Israel.
