With the aid of Irving Laker and Leonard Baruch, a vacancy referral service was created with several apartment owners in the neighborhood. Rabbi Yitschak Kagan, public relations director of BIRTHDAYS Lubavitch, appeared on television to ask the resi- dents who were burned out to make their whereabouts known, since many could not be found after the fire. Rabbi Kagan said following the TV appeal, telephones at the Lubavitch Center rang incessantly. The Russian Accultura- tion Program of the Jewish Community Center will present another film in its series 7 p.m. Saturday in the Jimmy Prentis Morris Branch. The documentary, "The World's Young Ballet," with English narration, will be shown. Tickets will be available at the door. The public is welcome.
