TEL AVIV (JTA) — The
Israel Army's northern
command played host last
week to hundreds of olim
from absorption centers in
the area, many of them Rus-
sian refusniks who had
fought for years for permis-
sion to come to Israel.
The gala meeting, at Ein
Gev on the shores of Lake
Tiberias, wound up an army
"absorption week" during
which the newcomers
toured army camps, told
soldiers of their efforts to
come to Israel, and heard
from the soldiers what they
had done to -help newcomers
settle in Israel.
