2 Die in Negev Flash Floods Honey from the Hand of Man

TEL AVIV (JTA) —
Roads throughout southern
Israel were slowly re-
opened last week after the
heaviest rains in 20 years
ripped out .roadways and
left towns and settlements
stranded.
The flash floods filling
formerly dry riverbeds
within seconds caused two
deaths: a 22-year-old
French tourist and a two-
year-old child swept from its
father's arms when their
truck overturned.
Police had warned
motorists to keep off the
