a member of the Los
Angeles Chamber Or-
chestra under the baton

Ben-Meir is a native of Is-
rael, where he received flute
training. He pursued ad-
vance flute studies in
England.
He was awarded the
silver medal at the 1962 in-
ternational. wind instru-
menth competition in Hel-
sinki, Finland. Ben-Meir is
a native of Israel, where he
received flute training. He
pursued advance flute
studies in England.
He was awarded the

was the principal flutist of
the Haifa Symphony for
three years before coming to
the U.S. as visiting profes-

tion for pianists in Vienna,
Chajes was the head of the
piano department at the
Music College in Tel Aviv.
Chajes has published
many of his compositions
and they have been per-
formed by world famous
