SPACE to Sponsor Support
Groups for Adults, Children

SPACE, the National
Council of Jewish Women-
sponsored service for
widowed and divorced men
and women and their
families will have a series of
support groups throughout
January.

At 5:30 p.m. Monday, the
children's support group
will meet in the NCJW
offices, 16400 W. 12 Mile,
Southfield. The 8 p.m. group
for divorced men and
women is the first of a series
of four meetings.
At 8 p.m. Tuesday, the
continuing divorce support
series will meet for persons
who have previously par-
ticipated in a divorce sup-
port group.
The men's group will
begin a series of four
programs at 8 p.m. Tues-
day at the NCJW offices.
At 8 p.m., the widowed
support series for men
and women will meet.
A drop-in discussion
group will meet at 8 p.m.
Wednesday. There is a
charge for all programs.
Pre-registration for
widowed and divorced sup-
port groups and workshops
is required. Children's
group participants are also
required to pre-register.

patients in veterans hospi-
tals.
Green Post and Auxiliary
tendered the patients at the
Battle Creek Veterans Ad-
ministration Hospital a
party and gifts and
entertainment were pro-
vided by the Bale Post and
Auxiliary for the patients at
the Allen Park facility.

Applications are avail-
able for scholarships from
the United Hebrew Schools
and its women's auxiliary.
The scholarships are de-
signed to be used for study
at Kfar Ivri, the Hebrew-
speaking unit at Camp
Tamarack, or at another
approved Hebrew-speaking
camp.
UHS High School stu-
dents may apply for an
award to be used toward
summer study in Israel. Re-
cent high school graduates,
Midrasha students and
Midrasha graduates may
apply for an award to be
used for college-level
Hebraic-Judaic study in the
U.S. or in Israel.
Application deadline is
April 1. For applications,
