Born in Lithuania, Mr. Frank worked at the State Loan Co. in Detroit from 20 to 1970. Jim of Florida; a daughter, Mrs. Roy. (Muriel) Fisher, Jr.; a brother, Leo M.; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Irving Bunim NEW YORK — Irving M. Bunim, a founder of the Young Israel movement and the leading spokesman for the National Council Of Young Israel, died Dec. 10 at age 79. Mr. Bunim often spoke in Detroit for Young Israel groups. He recently re- ceived the Jabotinsky Award "for distinguished service to Israel" by Prime Minister Menahem Begin. Workers Saved JERUSALEM — Sixty- five foreign workers were rescued by helicopter from a sinking ship last week off the coast of Israel during a violent storm. The ship was being used as a floating hotel for the workers. It broke loose from its moorings during the storm. The workers were con- structing a pier in Hadera. Swedish Students Endorse PLO \ , LONDON — An anti- Israel resolution passed by the European branch of the World Student Christian Federation was recently llpted by the Palestine idarity Seminar in Up- psala, Sweden. The seminar was sponsored by the wedish Student Christian Movement and the Church of Sweden Mission. The resolution expresses support for "the Palestinian people's right to return to their homeland, to self- determination and to the es- tablishment of a free secu- lar and democratic state where Christians, Jews and Moslems could live to- gether." The statement also reiterates support for the Palestine Liberation Organization. Frances Bussell David Dunsky Frances G. Bussell, re- tired clerical secretary for the Detroit Public Library, died Dec. 15 at age 66. A native Detroiter, Mrs. Bussell retired in 1975, after having worked 20 years for the library. She was a member of Pioneer Women, Friends of the De- troit Public Library, Jewish Parents Institute and Friends of the Detroit Insti- tute of Arts. She leaves her husband, Harry; a son, Joel of Ft. Born in Russia, Mrs. Fin- kelstein lived many years in Oak Park prior to moving to Miami Beach, Fla., about 15 years ago. She was graduated from the old Central High School and supported the activities of the Sholem Aleichem In- stitute. In Miami Beach, she was active in Pioneer Women. Rabbi Seligman Rabbi William Seligman of Cleveland Heights, Ohio, died Dec. 11 at age 62. A native of Toledo, Rabbi Seligman served as a chap- lain in the U.S. Army from 1944 to 1948. He came to Cleveland Heights in 1948 when he was appointed assistant rabbi at Park Synagogue. He also was part-time spiritual leader of Cong. Beth El in Shaker Heights. In 1955, he originated the Jewish Community Federa- tion's chaplain program. Interment Cleveland Heights. 111E Sir Jules Thorn LONDON (JTA) — Sir Jules Thorn, an Austrian 'Jewish immigrant who built up Thorn Electrical Industries; one of Britain's most successful businesses, died Dec. 12 at age 82. Sir Jules was knighted in 1964 and was actively con- cerned with his vast electri- cal empire until four years ago when he retired and be- - came its president. Born in Vienna in 1899, Mr. Thorn settled in Britain in 1925 and began his career by im- porting electric bulbs and radio valves. He bought his first factory in 1933. Alex Kramer Alex Kramer, president of Automatic Vending Co., died Dec. 12 at age 68. A former Detroiter, Mr. Kramer was living in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., at the time of his death. He was the director of the Culinary Institute and former president and chairman of the board pf Interstate United Corp. Mr. Kramer was a member of Jewish War Vet- erans and Keidan Lodge of Bnai Brith. He leaves his wife, Rose; a son, Joel of Waco, Tex.; a daughter, Myra of Ft.
