INFLATION, RECES-
SION or whatever . . .
when it comes to going out
and celebrating New Year's
Eve, United States resi-
dents are always particu-
larly enthused about ring-
ing in the new year.
And 1981 will have an
extra significance of impor-
tance since at the stroke of
12 so many people will be
drinking a toast with fer-
vent wishes that the new
governmental administra-
tion puts the country back
on its feet again.
The usual wishes will al-
ways be there too . . . for
peace on earth and good
health.
There'll be the usual
house parties galore . . .
People who refuse to go
out New Year's Eve be-
cause of two reasons . . .
prices are upped ridicul-
ously they say . . . and
it's "amateur night" to
them.
But whatever and‘ how-
ever . . . even if it's watch-
ing Times Square on televi-
sion . . . or enjoying a good
movie . . . very very few
will forget to celebrate in
their own way . . . the pass-
ing of a rather somber 1980
. . . with hopes for a much
better 1981.
We've compiled a very
partial list . . . as each year
. . . somewhat indicative of
what's going on in niteries
around town . . . arranged
in alphabetical order.
All places will of course
provide noisemakers,
favors, balloons and confetti
for midnight merriment.
Call ahead even if places
have an open house . . .
there may not be room to get
in.
