to Inspire Hebrew University Enrollment
Drawing upon some 4,000
students from abroad, re-
presenting 25 percent of its
student body, the Hebrew
University of Jerusalem
encourages an increase in
this number.
Reuven Kaminer, direc-
tor of the office of overseas
student admissions and a
vice provost of the Hebrew
University, is in Detroit to
encourage an interest in
Hebrew University
enrollments among stu-
-dents in Michigan and other
agfates in the Midwest.
Kaminer, a former De-
troiter, will be here for the
balance of December and
the early days of January
and will address local
groups. He is making con-
tacts with university
authorities and students in
Michigan universities to
encourage . enrollment in
study programs at the uni-
versity in Jerusalem. He of-
fers information on all ques-
tions affecting student aca-
demic careers.

Kaminer reports that the
largest number of appli-
cants in the total of overseas
students is from the United
States, 1,100 having filed
applications last year. The
second largest, more than
400, was from Prance.
"The fact that there are
overseas students from 58
countries attests to the
interest in our program,"
Kaminer said.
He stated that there are
some 400 one-year students
in the Hebrew University
from the U.S. and an addi-

The University of Detroit
School of Law is planning a
new summer pre-law pro-
gram for college students
and graduates in the com-
munity who are considering
careers in law, but want to
• know more about demands
of law school.
The program, scheduled
to run from six to eight
weeks beginning in late
May at the law school's Re-
naissance Center campus,
will enable participants to
experience the actual law
school process before mak-
ing a large-scale commit-
ment of their time and re-
sources.

ummer pre-law program is

at the Cornell University
Law School.
Undergraduate stu-
dents completing the
pre-law study will re-
ceive academic credit
transferable to most col-
leges and universities.
