THE DETROIT JEWISH NEWS

Rabbi and Mrs. Solomon H. Gruskin

Would like to thank their many friends in the community for
the tributes they sent in to the Jewish Association for Retarded
Citizens on the occasion of the recent dedication of the Gruskin
Haverim Home.

They are also deeply appreciative of the honor conferred
upon them by the J. A. R. C. and will long remember the
outpouring of esteem and affection of those who attended the
dedication.

Without the J. A. R. C. and the Co-operative Council of the
League of Jewish Women's Organizations, the Haverim
Homes would have remained a "consummation devoutly to be
wished." It is to be hoped that the community will continue to
support the program so that more Homes will be established to
accommodate those 90 or more retarded citizens who are
currently on the waiting list, and eager to join the community
and enjoy the advantages of living in a home environment,
directed by people who care about their individuality and their
progress in forming social relationships.

NEW YORK (ZINS) —
According to a recent article
in Midstream magazine by
an American living in
France, there is much
fraternization between the
North African Arabs and
Jews now living in France.
Eduard Roditi wrote that
the North African Arabs are
no threat to France's corn-
munity and far more peace-
ful and friendly than their
Arab brethern.
