THE DETROd JEWISH WEVIV " Journalist Yitzhak Shargil, Had Long Reporting Career TEL AVIV (JTA) — Yit- zhak Shargil, for more than 20 years the Jewish Tele- graphic Agency's corre- spondent in Tel Aviv, died Sunday. He was 53. Mr. Shargil also was an editor of Israel's largest daily, Yediot Achronot. Mr. Shargil joined the JTA in the mid-1950s. His specialty was military af- fairs, but he also covered s• dealing with politi- c conomic and social de- velopments and was a mas- ter of the "human interest" angle.
