"Judging how glowingly
healthy the beautiful doctor
always looks, I'd say she
practices exactly what she
preaches.
"When most people think
of a natural food restaurant,
they think the food must
taste like sawdust. It's sim-
ply not true. Natural foods
can taste as gourmet, I
think even more so, as any
other type food. The real dif-
ference is at Healthy Jones
for instance, we use whole
wheat flour instead of white
flour and honey instead of
sugar, both foods giving you
a lot more nutritional value.
We never use chemi-
cals, nitrates,
preservatives, salt, artifi-
cial coloring or flavoring
or anything that we feel
to be harmful to our
health. There is more and
more evidence pointing
to the fact that these
chemicals are harmful.
Don't let the words
natural food scare you.
It's a start of thinking in
the right direction
towards better health
and energy.
The cast of `They're Play-
ing Our Song,' currently at
the Fisher Theater, has
been into Healthy Jones
several times. This talented
group tells me they have
been all over the country
and rank ,Healthy Jones as
the best 'natural food res-
taurant and health food
store they have been to.
"That_really makes me
feel good as we hope to go
nationwide some day and
their words are very
encouraging. I keep finding
the people who are the mov-
ers and doers all take very
good care of _themselves by
eating -natural foods, excer-
cising and taking a lot of
vitamins. I feel it's the only
way to go. Hope all of you
start to feel that way too."
IN THE MARCH, 1980
edition of Cosmopolitan,
Emily Greenspan writes
about "The Chinese Con-
nection: How to Order More
Than Chow Mein."
"A few years ago, the
mayor of New York got a
yen for Chinese food and
headed for one of the best
Chinese restaurants in the
city. 'Chicken chow mein,'
ordered Hizonner.
